On Nov. 20, Invisible Children Inc., a non-profit organization that brings awareness to conflicts in war-torn Northern Uganda, showed the documentary "Go" to Blair students during 5A and 5B lunches. The event was estimated to have a turnout of more than 500 students in each lunch period.

The Science Math and Technology (SMT) Academy is organizing a benefit walk for breast cancer that will be held from 1-3:30 p.m. The Walk for the Cure will begin with a breast cancer awareness discussion in the auditorium before moving to Blair's track. Monetary donations will be given to the Avon Foundation, a 501 (c) (3), nonprofit, public charity.
The Blair fall sports awards ceremony was held from 7-8:30 p.m. last night in the auditorium to honor 336 Blazers for their achievements in the fall sports season. The ceremony gave each coach the opportunity to commemorate his or her players and speak of the team's accomplishment.
This morning, the Student Government Association (SGA) announced that senior Mady Nadje will no longer be Blair's vice president. Blair's chief of staff, junior Adam Biru, was announced as the acting vice president. The SGA distributed a notice that informed Blazers of the situation to all second period classes.

"Can we bring down the lights?" University of Maryland Professor Ross Salawich asks. The auditorium gradually dims, enveloping the Blair student audience in a darkness that Salawitch's voice soon penetrates. "It's the little things that decrease our carbon footprint," he says during the environmental assembly.
