Van Ness-UDC

4200 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC

Van Ness station is almost completely dominated by office buildings. It contains very few stores and almost no places to eat. The station primarily services professionals going to and from their jobs and thus has only a few common outlets. Right outside of the station is CVS, selling mostly pre-packaged food and soda along with simple office supplies, magazines and medicine. Across the street is a simple coffee house, and several blocks are Pier 1 and Burger King. Because of the lack of variety and suitable restaurants, Van Ness really has little value to students looking for a place to spend the evening or find a meal. Van Ness station is just over 30 minutes away from Takoma and Silver Spring stations. Information compiled by Jonah Gold.
