National Building Museum
The National Building Museum is located right in front of the Judiciary Square Metro station. The museum features rotating exhibits and several permanent collections. The permanent collections focus on building techniques and architecture and hold about 40,000 photos, 68,000 architectural prints and 2,100 objects. Currently the museum has exhibits on origami as architecture, a look a Japanese culture through five children and the development of Washington, D.C. The traveling exhibits often feature artwork, history and current events. The museum is free and open Monday thru Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
