Twinbrook Station is surrounded by interesting places. Polly Esther’s, an under-18 club, is about a tenth of a mile away on Rockville Pike. Congressional Plaza is on the other side of Rockville Pike and holds a Tower Records, an ice cream parlor and a day spa, among other stores. A medley of ethnic eateries clusters around the station, including Greek Taverna, Maria’s Bakery Café (which makes a chocolate mousse cake to die for), Mama Fu’s Noodle House, various pizzerias and a lovely Italian chain restaurant, That’s Amore.
