Friendship Heights

Friendship Heights is an area dominated by one large building: Mazza Gallerie, one of the larger and more expensive malls in the Washington D.C. area. Mazza Gallerie contains stores ranging from Saks Fifth Avenue to Neiman Marcus, and Mazza has more jewelry stores than restaurants. The mall has an AMC theatre, as well as a McDonald's and a Subway. Overall, this mall is directed more at adults except for the Foot Locker, which seems out of place amongst the high fashion stores. Overall there are some things to do at this station, but the same stores and movies can be seen at much closer venues such as Silver Spring. Friendship Heights is just over 30 minutes from the Takoma and Silver Spring stations. Information compiled by Jonah Gold.
