Montgomery County Department of Recreation

If hired, students will staff a certain camp for six to seven weeks. Depending on the camp, campers may be six to twelve years old, and camp themes range from science to sports to outdoor nature. In addition, camps go swimming frequently and on fieldtrips. Mandatory training sessions will be held in June. Salaries depend on the position that the staff member receives.

Hours:
8:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., Mondays through Fridays from June 16, 2008 to July 25, 2008 (or Aug. 1, 2008, depending on the camp)

Qualifications:
Staff must have certification in CPR and First Aid. For convenience, the Recreation Department holds training sessions. Other needs, such as life guarding or serving as a canoe instructor, are specific to a certain camps and positions.
