Montgomery County Teen Court and Mediation Unit
High school students act the roles of a court (bailiff, attorneys, juries, etc.) to give juvenile offenders (12 to 17 years old) who have committed non-violent, minor crimes, such as possession of alcohol or shoplifting, a second chance without any impact on their permanent records. Volunteers will learn about the judicial system and have opportunities to enhance their speaking skills. The Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office manages the Teen Court.
Circuit Court Building, The Judicial Center, 50 Maryland Avenue, 4th Floor Jury Lounge, Rockville, MD 20850
Bimonthly meetings on Wednesdays 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Teen Court is available to all high school students.
