Summer Movie Preview

The glorious beginning of summer brings an abrupt end to just about everything else. But what is the one thing that won't come to an end? Hollywood’s unlimited supply of summer blockbusters.

Fans of the hit comedy "The Hangover" raced to theaters on Thursday to see the highly anticipated sequel, which doesn't fail to produce pure comedic genius.

"Pirates" set sail to boredom

The title song is nostalgic and reminiscent of summers past. A familiar, drunken pirate sets sail on a large ship, heading towards a mysterious goal. This time, the title is slightly different and a few key character change, but not much else.

"Bridesmaids" steal the show

Fans of “30 Rock” and “Knocked Up” will love Paul Feig’s latest comedy, which has been referred to as a female version of “The Hangover." Aside from a few comic sequences that play out for far too long, “Bridesmaids” will keep audiences engaged in nonstop laughter.

"Thor" needs something more

Superhero movies are characterized by their nonstop action, out of this world graphics, classic plots and overarching moral lessons. "Thor" has all of these, and is even in 3-D, but it is still missing something.
