"Fall for You" by Secondhand Serenade’s soloist John Vesely is another example of how sappy songs can capture girls' hearts. Reminiscent of pop ballads, such as Howie Day's "Collide" and Lifehouse's "You and Me," "Fall for You" is yet another feel-good but trite song that pleads for forgiveness and tells of sorrowful heartbreak. The song begins with calming piano notes and then heightens to catchy rock-like tones, keeping the otherwise mundane track varied and enjoyable. Secondhand Serenade's vocals nicely accompany the ranging melody, even though they lose their charm after several repetitions. Initially sweet and gentle, Vesley become nasal and almost annoying after constant replays. Despite the usual problems of pop ballads – corny lyrics and semi-annoying vocals – newcomer Vesely has established that he can actually sing, so there's no doubt we'll be humming one of his new songs soon.
