Contemporary pop music is rarely called beautiful, but Robin Thicke’s "Dreamworld" is not the case. "Dreamworld," off his latest album "Something Else," combines a soothing yet catchy melody with Thicke’s smooth vocals. The resulting sound is a soft, lazy track about Thicke’s bucolic, simplistic views on worldly issues. Thicke sings about how, in his dream world, the ice caps wouldn’t be melting and energy would "fall down right from the sky." He covers racism when he dreams of a Southern society that would accept multi-ethnic marriages. Towards the end of the track, Thicke loses focus and sounds like many other artists of his genre, rambling on passionately, not artistically. But with Thicke’s pastel melody, ″Dreamworld″ does not sound like just another rhythm and blues song.
