"Whatever You Like," from his most recent album "Paper Trail," clinched the number one spot on the U.S. Top 40 list for several weeks in a row – and deservingly so. The song's ubiquitous pounding beat mixed with a light musical background creates the perfect backdrop for T.I.'s smooth, sweet-talking lyrics. The song describes how T.I.'s vast financial assets can be used to seduce and then indulge girls. He insults people who can't buy their girlfriends expensive luxuries and makes offensive sexual comments about the girls he spoils. Although the lyrics are disappointingly tasteless, they can be overlooked in light of the song's likeable beat and the appealing sound of T.I.'s voice. His relaxed drawl coaxes every listener into believing they really can have whatever they like. And we hope that he continues giving that to us musically.
