MoCo running back enrolls early to UMD

After setting records and winning the Maryland 3A state championship for the Damascus Swarmin' Hornets this past fall sports season, local running back Jake Funk is poised to make an impact at the college level. The former high schooler enrolled early for the spring semester at the University of Maryland, where he committed in October.

Ex-Springbrook star Campbell heads to Final Four

Less than three years ago, before George Mason guard Folarin Campbell was lighting up the scoreboard on the national stage (he dropped 15 points against the Huskies), he was wreaking havoc on the Blazers as a member of Blair's arch-rival from a few miles up the road, the Springbrook Blue Devils.

Atlantic Coast Conference still strong
