NFL Week 10 Predictions

Nov. 13, 2016, 12:42 p.m. | By Nate Bodner, Ryan Handel, Ellie Williams, Benjamin Yokoyama | 7 years, 4 months ago

We are headed into the playoff push. Currently lots of big teams are reeling from surprising losses, as the Eagles, Packers, Saints and Panthers all sit at or below a .500 record. The Ravens soundly defeated the Browns on Thursday (TNF games are always chosen before Thursday, so don't worry), sending the Browns to 0-10 and the Ravens into first place in the AFC North. The Redskins will host the Vikings this week in the hopes of keeping up with the Giants and Cowboys in the East.

Standings:
Ben: 79-52
Ellie: 77-54
Nate: 75-56
Ryan: 70-61

Browns at Ravens
Ben: Ravens
Nate: Ravens
Ryan: Ravens
Ellie: Ravens

Ben says: It's the Browns...
Nate says: This isn't the week for Cleveland to get in the win column.
Ryan says: Watch out Lions, you may not be the only team to ever go 0-16.
Ellie says: It's been a rough month but the Ravens can definitely crush the 0-9 Browns.

Chiefs at Panthers
Ben: Panthers
Nate: Chiefs
Ryan: Chiefs
Ellie: Panthers

Ben says: The Chiefs always find ways to win, but the Panthers offense is ready once again to show why they were preseason Super Bowl contenders.
Nate says: The Chiefs stout defense will carry them to a win
Ryan says: With Spencer Ware back in the lineup, the Chiefs can take care of the Panthers.
Ellie says: Carolina is coming back from starting the season 1-5.

Broncos at Saints
Ben: Saints
Nate: Broncos
Ryan: Broncos
Ellie: Saints

Ben says: Big offense vs. big defense. I'll take Drew Brees and the offense, especially with Trevor Siemian and a couple of backup running backs on the other offense.
Nate says: Trevor Siemian will take advantage of New Orleans poor defense.
Ryan says: Once the Broncos defense shuts down Drew Brees, the Saints will have to rely on their defense, which is never a good thing.
Ellie says: Brees is the leading passer in the league and the Broncos defense fell apart last week.

Rams at Jets
Ben: Rams
Nate: Rams
Ryan: Rams
Ellie: Rams

Ben says: Todd Gurley has to step it up eventually.
Nate says: Rams haven't shown much talent this year, but the Jets have been playing much worse.
Ryan says: Case Keenum might not be great, but the Jets are down to their third-string quarterback.
Ellie says: Ryan Fitzpatrick is one of the worst QBs in the league, without being injured.

Packers at Titans
Ben: Packers
Nate: Packers
Ryan: Packers
Ellie: Packers

Ben says: I like Marcus Mariota and the two-pronged rushing attack of the Titans, but Aaron Rodgers can't stay idle for long. He's still the second best QB in the league.
Nate says: Titans are a talented young team, but they won't beat the more veteran Packers today.
Ryan says: The Packers can't lose to two straight AFC South teams.
Ellie says: The Packers rushing defense will give a struggling Tennessee offense no chance.

Falcons at Eagles
Ben: Falcons
Nate: Falcons
Ryan: Falcons
Ellie: Eagles

Ben says: The Eagles are reeling after five consecutive losses, and Matt Ryan is the head of the best offense in the NFL right now.
Nate says: The Falcons high powered offense will carry them to a win.
Ryan says: The Falcons will earn a close win over another suddenly solid NFC team.
Ellie says: The Eagles are undefeated at home and their losses have been close.

Vikings at Redskins
Ben: Redskins
Nate: Redskins
Ryan: Redskins
Ellie: Vikings

Ben says: I would have picked the Vikings if I hadn't locked myself into picking the Redskins. I'm not sure their O-Line can absorb the loss of Trent Williams.
Nate says: The Vikings are on a skid and the Redskins can step up and beat them.
Ryan says: Sam Bradford is starting to show his true colors.
Ellie says: The Vikings defense has been consistent so far, and their strong start has to count for something.

Texans at Jaguars
Ben: Texans
Nate: Jaguars
Ryan: Texans
Ellie: Texans

Ben says: Brock Osweiler is awful, but somehow, some way, the Texans are winning games.
Nate says: Brock Osweiler has been playing like crap, and Bortles has been heating up.
Ryan says: Bortles is one of the most overrated quarterbacks in the league. Even Osweiler can outduel him.
Ellie says: The Jaguars haven't turned over the ball in so long.

Bears at Buccaneers
Ben: Buccaneers
Nate: Buccaneers
Ryan: Bears
Ellie: Buccaneers

Ben says: Jameis Winston is really hit or miss with the passing production, but he and Mike Evans can produce another game like last Thursday's against a weak Bears defense.
Nate says: It's gonna be a big day for Mike Evans.
Ryan says: The Bucs can't really seem to finish out games.
Ellie says: Tampa needs a win at home.

Dolphins at Chargers
Ben: Chargers
Nate: Chargers
Ryan: Chargers
Ellie: Chargers

Ben says: The Chargers are playing the best teams in the NFL twice… But they sure can score.
Nate says: San Diego should cruise to a win over the Dolphins. That win against the Steelers didn't mean that much for Miami. They still aren't good.
Ryan says: Nothing can stop Melvin Gordon when he's on a roll.
Ellie says: Miami's Jay Ajayi and San Diego's Melvin Gordon promise an entertaining game, but the Chargers have Paul Rivers.

49ers at Cardinals
Ben: Cardinals
Nate: Cardinals
Ryan: Cardinals
Ellie: Cardinals

Ben says: Carson Palmer and David Johnson will have it easy against San Fran.
Nate says: Niners may get embarrassed this week.
Ryan says: The 49ers give the Browns solid competition for the NFL's worst team.
Ellie says: Arizona has been having a mediocre season but the 49ers defense is weak.

Cowboys at Steelers
Ben: Steelers
Nate: Cowboys
Ryan: Cowboys
Ellie: Cowboys

Ben says: Every week I trust in the big three of Pittsburgh, and they seem to let me down quite often, but I'm going to stick with them.
Nate says: Steelers are struggling, and the boys are still playing great.
Ryan says: Even with a healthier Ben Roethlisberger, the Cowboys are superior to the Steelers.
Ellie says: The Cowboys are looking to make up for their week one loss to the Steelers.

Seahawks at Patriots
Ben: Patriots
Nate: Patriots
Ryan: Patriots
Ellie: Patriots

Ben says: They're the best, no contest. Hopefully the Seahawks won't get any cheap calls this week.
Nate says: Seattle's offense still hasn't woken up, and the Patriots will take advantage.
Ryan says: The Seahawks just aren't good enough to challenge the Patriots.
Ellie says: Brady has been completing 73.1 percent of his passes and will shut down the Seahawks defense.

Bengals at Giants
Ben: Giants
Nate: Bengals
Ryan: Giants
Ellie: Giants

Ben says: Eli Manning has so many weapons on offense, and their defense is good enough to hold on for this victory.
Nate says: The Bengals two pronged rushing attack, as well as A.J. Green receiving will propel them to a victory.
Ryan says: Odell Beckham vs. A.J. Green should be fun to watch, but expect Beckham to lead his team to victory.
Ellie says: Both teams have strong offenses, but the Giants have Eli Manning.
