Newsbrief: Memorial Day essay contest
The Fleet Reserve Association is sponsoring an essay contest about Americanism with a grand prize of $15,000.
The topic of this year’s contest is “What Memorial Day Means to Me." It is open to students in grades seven to twelve. In addition to the $15,000 prize for the National Overall Winner, several $5000 national-level first place winners will be selected and six local-level first place winners will be selected, one from each grade.
Any student who is interested in entering the contest should see his English teacher for more information and an application form.
