Newsbrief: Car fire outside Blair
Early Monday December 10, a man was killed when his van caught fire on Colesville Road just outside of Blair.
According to The Washington Post, George Jackson Sr., 35, died when his van burst into flames at about 7:20 AM. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses saw a glow in the van before it caught fire. Montgomery County fire department spokesman Pete Piringer said that a flammable liquid was found in the car.
According to witness Jeanne Davidson, the vehicle looked like "a giant fireball."
