School evacuated due to flooding

by Nora Toiv, Page Editor
The school was shut down at around 5:00 P.M today when a “water emergency" was reported by night school principal John Goldman.

According to Goldman a softball player hit one of the sprinklers in the gym (the team was practicing inside because of the rain). The fire alarm sounded twice but the school was told to ignore it. About 20 minutes later, Goldman ordered the building to be evacuated. Goldman said the whole system will have to drain out before they can fix everything, depressurize the system, and get the school back to working order.

At around 5:15 the gym had heavy spots of water some places but was not completely covered in water.
