Take a ride on my "dreamboat"

by Sophie Schwadron, Online Editor-in-Chief and Kiera Zitelman, Online Editor-in-Chief
Elvis lives – in food form. To celebrate the 52nd anniversary of his very first record release on March 13, 1956, follow this recipe inspired by the music sensation's two famously favorite ingredients – peanut butter and bananas. Wise men say only fools rush in, but there's no other way to enjoy this quick and honorary snack.

Peanut Butter Banana Dreamboats

Prep time is about five minutes. Freeze time is 20 minutes. Makes one serving.

Kitchenware:
- 1 knife
- 1 plate
- wax paper

Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- half cup of peanut butter
- about a half cup of toppings (chocolate chips, nuts, sprinkles or anything else sweet)

Preparation:

1. Peel the banana and lay it on top of your plate, covered in wax paper.
2. Use a knife to spread peanut butter all over the banana (this is tougher than it seems).
3. Layer on toppings – one half nuts, one half chocolate (silver) chips, for example.
4. Put the plate in the freezer for 20 minutes.
5. Remove from freezer, let thaw for five minutes and enjoy!

OH MY GOSH. Thank you for posting this amazing recipe. It's like you read my mind or something because I am the HUGEST Elvis fan and an even HUGER fan of peanut butter. I've always hated bananas but now that I'm eating them with peanut butter and all sorts of yummy topping,I'm in LOVE. I eat this snack about three times a day and I'm starting to turn into an escalump. Oh well. Thanks a ton!

you call this a recipe? do readers really not know how to smear peanut butter on a banana and then put stuff on it?

there should be more recipes like that five cheese ravioli alfredo. that actually looked good, albeit complicated.

WOW this is so great not many people know this about me but I'm a firm believer in the power of bananas and when combined with the deliciousness of peanut butter you really do have a winner
