Fight occurs after school on Blair campus
A fight occurred between two male Blair students at 3:15 p.m. yesterday outside the Blair Student Activity Center (SAC), according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD). One of the two students involved in the altercation was asked if he wanted medical treatment. An ambulance was called, but the student refused help, according to Marshall.
Currently, police are uncertain whether there are pending criminal charges, according to Educational Facilities Officer (EFO) Darryl Marshall. "There could be a paper charge or an arrest," he said. "But at this time, we don't know." Marshall stressed that in any situation where students are found with weapons, drugs or mace or are involved in a physical altercation, there are consequences and charges that could be placed by the school or county.
According to Principal Darryl Williams, the fight was unrelated to the incidents of freshman hazing that occurred earlier this week. "It was a relationship problem," he said.
