Handed down from generation to generation, this Greek family recipe is home cooking at its finest. This dish is not only easy to make, but is sure to please everyone at the table with its hearty meat sauce and distinct egg flavoring. Spaghetti-in-the-oven can almost be a meal in and of itself. Just serve this alongside a crisp Caesar salad and you'll have a dinner (not to mention leftovers) fit for the Greek gods themselves.

Recipe serves 6-8. Preparation takes around an hour. Cooking takes 40 minutes to one hour

Kitchenware:
- Medium-large frying pan
- Pot for spaghetti
- Baking dish: Pyrex, Corning Ware or small Enamel Roaster

Ingredients:
- 1 lb. thin spaghetti
- 1lb.-1 1/2 lbs. of hamburger
- 1 medium onion
- 1-3 cloves garlic or garlic powder (amount depending on taste)
- Salt and pepper
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 3 eggs
- Grated parmesan cheese
- Olive oil

Preparation:

1. Dice the onion and mince the garlic

2. Cook hamburger along with onion and garlic in frying pan

3. Drain excess grease. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add tomato sauce

4. Slightly undercook the spaghetti.

5. Scramble the eggs and set aside until needed

6. When spaghetti and hamburger are cooked: Grease baking dish to prevent sticking

7. Then layer baking dish with Spaghetti, then some grated cheese, and then spread meat on top and add more grated cheese

8. Repeat layering sequence until baking dish is full. The top layer should be spaghetti with grated cheese on top

9. Pour scrambled eggs onto the top layer

10. Cover the baking dish and place in the oven at 350 400 degrees F, depending on the oven, for approximately 30 minutes

11. Uncover and continue cooking until top layer of spaghetti turns a "caramel" or light tan color, which should take about 10 minutes
