Blazers offense overpowers Barons in home opener

After vaulting to number six in the Montgomery County football rankings, expectations were high for the Blair Blazers (2-0). But, the Blazers refused to let the pressure get to them. They pounded the BCC Barons (0-2) on Friday night by a score of 42-12, pummeling the Baron defense into the ground with 612 total yards of offense.

Gymnastics shows out for senior night

In its last home meet of the season, Blair gymnastics fought hard and placed second behind B-CC, with Blake finishing third. The Blazers prepared posters and roses for senior night which celebrated Sidney Smith, Kayla McCaw and Rachel Robey as well as the team's manager, Pilar Ocampo.

Blazers beat up on Barons

After losing its season opener to Quince Orchard, the boys’ varsity soccer team (1-1) beat the B-CC Barons (0-1) in their home opener by a score of 3-1. The Blazers were without head coach John Haigh who received a red card after a heated argument in the team’s game last Friday.

Lack of offense thwarts Blazers in opener

The Blair varsity football team lost their season opener to Bethesda-Chevy Chase (BCC) by a score of 13-2 on Friday.

Lady Blazers conquer Barons

The girls' varsity basketball team destroyed the Bethesda-Chevy Chase (B-CC) Barons by a score of 60-40. Although the Blazers were down by five points at halftime, they were able to pull together as a team and get the win.

MCPS plans B-CC middle school

On Jan. 25, the Site Selection Advisory Committee met at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School to discuss the location of a new middle school in the B-CC cluster.

Barons burn girls' varsity volleyball

The Bethesda Chevy Chase Barons (BCC) (11-8) defeated the girls’ volleyball team (5-12) in the first round of the playoffs. Although the Lady Blazers played well against a high caliber Baron squad, they fell in the end by final scores of 14-25, 15-25 and 17-25. Senior outside hitter Nika Lilley had nine kills.
