Northwest eliminates Blair from the playoffs

On a blisteringly cold Friday night in Germantown, the Blazers (8-3) took the field for the last time this season, some for the last time ever, with hopes to upset the mighty Northwest Jaguars (10-1) on the road in the first round of the playoffs. Things didn't end up as Blair hoped however, as the game ended with a 38-3 loss but the Blazers were still able to realize how far they had come this season.

Blair is handed their second loss of the season against Paint Branch

Paint Branch (6-1) and Blair (5-2) both came into Friday night's game with identical records. The fans were ready to witness a battle between two evenly matched teams. However, Blair fans were disappointed as the Panthers came out with the 25-14 win.

This season, Blair's first chance at the Maryland football playoffs is more tangible than ever, set poetically against the backdrop of Blair's 80th anniversary. At the helm of the Blazers' winning season is Head Coach Dr. Andrew Fields.

In their first home game of the year on Friday night, Blair (1-1) had to face one of the toughest opponents they'll face all year in Sherwood (2-0). The Blazers came up short 7-14, but they did not disappoint.

Blair Varsity Football falls to Whitman Vikings

Friday night's game at Blazer stadium was the final football contest ever for many of Blair's varsity members, and they made sure that senior night was a night to remember. Despite falling behind early and committing costly miscues, the Blair Blazers (5-5) fought hard but fell just short against the Whitman Vikings (7-3) by the score of 17-13.

Blair cruises to homecoming game victory

The school was buzzing as Blair students participated in one of the most spirited weeks of the school year, which all led up to Saturday evening's Homecoming dance. But before the dance could commence, Blair football took the field in Friday night's Homecoming game, where the Blazers (3-3) easily took care of the Wheaton Knights (1-5) to the tune of 28-7.

Blair dominates Northwood in the Battle of the Boulevard

On a chilly, rainy day, the annual Battle of the Boulevard between the Blair Blazers and the Northwood Gladiators did not dampen the spirits of Blair fans. Despite the weather conditions, loyal fans stuck it out until the final whistle in order to watch the Blazers crush the Gladiators, 28-6.

Football shuts out Kennedy in season opener

It was likely a common belief that Blair football would not be very competitive this season. Rather, Blair put on a dominant performance Friday night against the Kennedy Cavaliers in a 25-0 rout.
