Barons burn girls' varsity volleyball

The Bethesda Chevy Chase Barons (BCC) (11-8) defeated the girls’ volleyball team (5-12) in the first round of the playoffs. Although the Lady Blazers played well against a high caliber Baron squad, they fell in the end by final scores of 14-25, 15-25 and 17-25. Senior outside hitter Nika Lilley had nine kills.

Wildcats whip girls' volleyball

The girls' varsity volleyball team (4-9) suffered a disappointing loss to the Walter Johnson Wildcats (10-3) by scores of 19-25, 14-25 and 17-25.While both sides struggled with serve errors, attacking and penalties during the match, the final scores were the result of cunning plays and good defense.

Northwood grinds girls' volleyball

For the first time in history, the Northwood girls' varsity volleyball team (3-7) defeated the Lady Blazers (3-6) in the Battle of the Boulevard. The close match on Tuesday resulted in a four set win for the Gladiators, with final scores of 24-26, 23-25, 25-12 and 15-25.

Girls' volleyball falls to Warriors

In an arduous battle against the toughest team in Montgomery County, the girls' volleyball team (2-3) fell to the defending state champions Sherwood Warriors (5-0) by final scores of 10-25, 9-25 and 15-25.

Girls' Volleyball tramples Titans

The girls' varsity volleyball team (1-1) won its home opener against the Einstein Titans. The Blazers managed to pull off the three-set win with a combination of good teamwork and skill.
