Blair student tased, restrained by police officer during school

A Montgomery County Police Officer tased a female Blair freshman in the courtyard outside the Student Activity Center (SAC) during fifth period Thursday, after the student allegedly assaulted the officer.

Blair student struck by car, in Intensive Care Unit at Suburban Hospital

Blair junior Van Le was struck by a moving car at 3:30 p.m. Monday while walking home from school, according to Principal Renay Johnson. Le was transported to Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md., where he is currently receiving treatment.

Increase in drug busts at Blair

There have been ten reported drug-related incidents involving Blair students since the beginning of this school year, according to Security Team Leader Kathleen Greene. This is already an increase from last year, during which there were only five reported "serious incidents" related to drugs, according to the School Safety and Security At a Glance report.

Four Corners businesses help enforce closed-campus policy

On Nov. 28, the Montgomery Blair High School (MBHS) Security Team, in conjunction with MBHS Administration and local businesses in the Four Corners area, implemented the "We Support School Safety" campaign in order to enforce Blair's closed-campus policy.
