"Ant-Man" packs an ant-sized punch

Though Marvel does not perform as well as it usually does, a viewer that goes in with ant-sized expectations will get a big surprise as "Ant-Man" still is a solid movie.

"Age of Ultron" falls short

"Avengers: Age of Utron" may be full of the same explosions, special effects and snappy one-liners that turned it’s 2012 predecessor into a hit, but it’s no follow up to the Avengers film that had audiences hooked. Though "Ultron" benefits from the engaging action sequences with the sprinkling of humor that enchanted us in the first film, its villain never seems to present itself as a formidable enough threat.

Thor: The Dark World But a Bright Future

Marvel's stranglehold on the superhero movie business is still well in place and their grip tightens with Alan Taylor's "Thor: The Dark World". This latest installment in the story of Marvel Comics' Norse hero is the sequel to Kenneth Branagh's "Thor" and the eighth installation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel has put out a slew of movies over the last few years that depict the caped crusaders of their comic book universe and "The Dark World" is one of their stronger releases.

"Green Lantern" fails to glow

There are many good reasons to see a comic book movie, but the dismal plot of “The Green Lantern” nullifies every one of them.
