Blair boys' soccer wins first playoff game

The Blair Blazers (14-1) beat the Richard Montgomery Rockets (6-8) 3-1 after going down by a goal late in the first half. Blair's comeback was led by the team's senior captains Sean Munroe and Jimmy McMillian, who each scored a goal in the second half.

Girls' soccer worn down by Warriors

The Blazers (7-8-1) lost to the Sherwood Warriors (10-3) 4-0 in the second round of playoffs to end their season. The Blazers could not keep up with the intensity of the Warriors attack and fell behind as a result.

Girls' soccer tops Titans

The Blazers (7-7-1) beat the Einstein Titans (3-8-1) 3-1 through good team play and quick counterattacks. The victory sent the Blazers into the next round of the playoffs to face Sherwood.

The Blair baseball season ended Friday afternoon in a painful 6-3 loss at Gaithersburg High School. Blair struggled against Gaithersburg’s pitcher Anthony Felitti, a commit to the University of Virginia.

Baseball wallops Whitman to advance in the playoffs

In a dramatic victory Wednesday, Blair baseball defeated Walt Whitman High School 15-4, avenging last year's loss that knocked the Blazers out of the playoffs. After falling behind early in the game, Blair scored twelve runs in the fourth inning to call the mercy rule.

In first playoff game, baseball comes out strong against WJ

On a beautiful night, in front of an energetic crowd, Blair baseball entered the playoffs with a bang. Behind solid pitching, excellent defense and a powerhouse offensive performance, Blair looked unstoppable, beating Walter Johnson High School after the mercy rule was called in the fifth inning with a score 12-1. The Blazers now move on to their second playoff game against Walt Whitman, the team that knocked Blair out of the playoffs last year.

Blazers crush Cavaliers

The Blair boys' varsity lacrosse team (7-6) entered their first playoff game Wednesday afternoon at home against Kennedy. After beating the Cavaliers 10-1 when the teams met during the regular season, the Blazers came out looking strong and confident. They ended up winning by 17 goals, and kept their first clean sheet of the season.

Girls’ lacrosse loses playoff game against Springbrook

The season came to an end for the girls’ lacrosse team (6-8) after they lost to the Springbrook Devils (12-1) in a grueling match Friday afternoon. The game began evenly with both teams’ defenses holding strong, but Springbrook eventually gained the upper hand and won 7-3.

Deja vu in win for girls’ lacrosse

On a rainy Wednesday night, the girls’ lacrosse team beat the Paint Branch Panthers yet again in their first game of playoffs. The game was strangely reminiscent of their match against Paint Branch in the regular season which finished with the same score 15-9.

Girls' Basketball eliminated from playoffs by BCC

Despite an intense first half and consistently strong defensive play, Friday's game against BCC (10-10-1) put the Blazers (7-13) out of the playoffs with a final score of 56-41.
