New changes developing in Wheaton
On Nov. 28, the city of Wheaton, Md., received the state Community Legacy Award from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. The award includes a $350,000 grant, which will be used to help finance environmentally-friendly projects.
Residents oppose new Wheaton Costco gas station
A new Costco retail store and attached discount gas station are scheduled to open this October at the Westfield Wheaton mall. However, plans to construct the gas station are being heavily opposed by the Montgomery County Council and local residents.
