Blair had a postseason for the ages this spring, with historic success across several of the nine spring sports.

Girls' Volleyball prevails over B-CC

The Blair girls' varsity volleyball team (10-2) defeated the Bethesda- Chevy Chase Barons (7-5) in three lengthy sets. The match was special for the Blazers because it was senior night, the last home game for seniors before playoffs. The Barons played a tough game throughout the match, but the Blazers were able to hold their own and eventually outplayed them. The scores for the three sets were: 25-19, 25-17, and 25-22.

Field Hockey demolishes Kennedy on Senior Night

Blair varsity field hockey (4-5) dominated the Kennedy Cavaliers Monday night, winning 7-0. The game was a perfect way to close the season as the Blazers advance towards playoffs. Following the game, the Blazers congratulated their seniors amid their final game at Blair's stadium.

Girls' tennis shows Paint Branch no love

The Blair girls' varsity tennis team (1-0) proved victorious in their first game of the season against the Paint Branch Panthers (0-1). The Blazers began their season on a high note, with a winning score of 6-1.

The rise of Major League Soccer

On a rainy day in Foxborough, Massachusetts, the stage was set for the first ever MLS Cup. The Galaxy and United finished with the second and third most points in Major League Soccer (MLS) respectively during the regular season. United had already overcome Supporters' Shield winner Tampa Bay Mutiny in the best two-out-of-three semifinal, but the Galaxy still looked like the odds-on favorite.

Eat the food, lose the weight

Soon the festivities will begin and for the next month or so, endless platters of sweet and savory foods will be brought out in celebration.
