On Sept. 19, the Blazer Pride Marching Band came in fourth place at the Warren County High School band competition in Front Royal, Va. Blair's color guard and percussion also performed, earning fourth and first places respectively. Blazer Pride is coming off an eighth place finish at the USBands Maryland State Championships last year and are hoping to reap more success in the future through teamwork and cooperation. "We are just starting to compete. We are like family even though we are from different grades and play different instruments. We come together to make a cohesive performance," junior piccolo player Alyssa Ma said.

Blazer Pride will perform next during the halftime of the home football game on Oct. 19.
