Dance intended to make up for Semester Shakedown cancellation

BNC will sponsor a dance on Friday, March 26 from 7:00 p.m to 11:00 p.m. in the SAC. The dance will be held for Blazers as well as students who attend Kennedy, Einstein and Wheaton.

Tickets cost $5 and will be sold at the door. An MCPS ID must be shown in order to enter the dance.

BNC thinks the blend of schools will not become a problem. "I think we have more than enough security. We have a task force to ensure that under-aged drinking is not happening," said BNC adviser Shay Taylor. "We have covered all of the bases with security. The security that we do have is from our school and the other schools involved [so] there will be some familiarity with the security and the people who are attending."

The freak dancing policy, which bans inappropriate dancing, will still be enforced. "People understand that there are certain expectations of what to do and what not to do," said Taylor. "We don't want anyone to be uncomfortable or anyone to be inappropriate."
