Freshman Varsity softball player Michelle Linford was profiled in the Silver Spring Gazette article "Blair shows off stylish debutante" for her performance in Blair's games so far this season.

In Blair's first game at Albert Einstein High School, Linford's first official varsity start, she pitched a one-hitter, allowing the Blazers to defeat Einstein 9-0. Linford was also impressive at the plate, says the Gazette, going 3 for 4 with one home run.

During the Blazers' second game against the perennially-strong Watkins Mill Wolverines, Linford struck out five batters. She batted excellently as well, going 1 for 2 with a home run that drove in three runs. However, Blair lost the game 7-4.
