Blair JV boys' basketball lose to Magruder 27-63

DEC 22, NELSON H. KOBREN MEMORIAL GYMNASIUM

After a keyed up game, JV boys' basketball lost to Magruder 27-63. This game made Blair's record 2-4. With a significant height disadvantage and a low percentage of shots being made, Blair faltered throughout the game.

The game started off with four minutes of turnovers until Magruder made the first shot. This foreshadowed the rest of the game as Blair's fouls handed Magruder the ball 10 times, not to mention several air balls and missed passes that Magruder gained from. The obvious height advantage Magruder had on Blair didn't help the situation as Magruder took most of the rebounds.

Sophomore captain Nicholas Warmington thought the problem might have been in Blair's inability to take the ball to the free throw line. "We need to improve on offence, defense, shooting…" said sophomore co-captain Tommy Dugan who was interrupted by Warmington, who concluded, "Everything needs improvement."

"We needed more heart today. I know we weren't 40 points worse than them," said Blair coach Richard Porac.
