Blair football quarterback Kendell Anderson’s officially commits to West Point Military Academy
On Dec. 21, Blair senior Kendell Anderson's early signing ceremony took place in the small gym. Blair's football team, family and friends celebrated Anderson’s commitment to further his academic and athletic pursuits at West Point Military Academy.
Rita Boule, Blair’s athletics director, expressed her excitement for Anderson’s future football career. “Kendell came in as a freshman and one of his goals was to play Division 1 football and to sign [for] four years and he did it,” she said. This excitement was shared by the audience who cheered for him with vigor.
Anderson didn’t expect to commit to an institution as prestigious as West Point. “I just wanted to play college football, [but] I didn’t know where. This is all just a crazy opportunity and a crazy feeling,” he said. He advises younger athletes to keep working hard. His goal is to play professionally and fulfill his childhood dreams.
