Lunch area closed

Blazers were unable to sit by the lockers behind the elevator off of Blair Boulevard during lunch today. The area was closed after students repeatedly left trash there, according to school officials, and will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

The problem has existed for several weeks now, says Security Team Leader Edward Reddick. "We should not have to go there every week and tell [the students] to clean up their trash,” he says.

A security guard originally said that the area would banned until the end of the year, according to students in the area. However, Reddick later said, "[The students] will determine how long it lasts by how well they take care of the areas they moved to.”
