Montgomery County Volunteer Center sponsors this year's Community Service Day

The Montgomery County Volunteer Center presents their seventeenth annual Community Service Day this Saturday, Oct. 25, rain or shine.

Activities include painting shelters, planting gardens and cleaning parks. Volunteers can organize their own projects or ask the Center to choose one for them. Students can earn student service learning credits if they participate.

At 8:30 a.m., a Festive Rally and Civic Action Fair is planned prior to the individual projects. The event will be located at 101 Monroe Street at the Executive Office Building on the Cafeteria level. Special guests will speak and breakfast will be provided.
