An anouncement posted on the WUSA 9 website:

Schools Scale Back Clubs, Part-Time Workers

More budget cuts are in store for Montgomery County schools.

School officials say some clubs and extracurricular activities and all activity buses will stop after April eleventh.

Some part-time secretarial and guidance support workers will also be laid off as of April 17th.

There will also be no new money for textbooks, some consultants or out-of-state travel.
