Poms win spirit award

The Blair Pom Squad won the spirit award at the Poms competition for Division III, and Captain Elizabeth Bryant won third for the captain's award on Feb. 7 at Blair.

Blake, Springbook, Poolesville, Kennedy, Wheaton and BCC were among the schools that Blair competed against.

Bryant was thrilled that she placed for the captain's award. "It was so exciting," said Bryant. "It was everything I have been working for the last three years."

Blake placed first for their routine, Poolesville placed second and Springbook placed third. Blair did not place for their routine.

For the captain's award, Kennedy's captain won second and Blake's captain won first.
