Preview: NFL - Week Thirteen predictions

A special sneak peek at the upcoming week

Thanks to Roger Goodell and his misguided dreams of a thriving NFL Network, we come to you with an early preview edition of our weekly predictions. Dallas and Green Bay duke it out on tonight in the battle of NFC heavyweights, and our experts have their say.

Last week Nitin consummated his hot streak, snatching the top spot from Pia after sitting in the basement for the first 10 weeks of the season. Will this worst-to-first transformation last? Week 13 will definitely be unlucky to someone - our money is on Andrew, who is cementing his first overall draft pick more and more every week.

Standings:

Green Bay Packers (10-1) at Dallas Cowboys (10-1)

Andrew says:
Both NFC powerhouses enter with one loss apiece: the Cowboys were trounced by the Patriots, while the Packers were downed by the Bears, the same Bears who lost 34-10 to the Cowboys in Week Three. Terrell Owens shines in the spotlight, and will exploit a Green Bay secondary that has a gimpy Charles Woodson. God will surely be watching through the dome as America's Team rolls at Texas Stadium. It's too bad nobody else will...

Nitin says: With all the comparisons, we might be looking at an old Tony Romo versus a young Brett Favre. Too bad NFL Network is playing the game. The teams are evenly matched; I'll go with Brett Favre's momentum carried from last week's precision performance.

Pia says: An early game for an early preview of the NFC Championships. Tony Romo is known to fold under high-stakes games (i.e. this season's Patriots game and last season's playoff game with the missed snap), so I'm betting on Green Bay here.

Anshul says: Showdown in the NFC. Old versus new. Experience versus explosiveness. Whatever you want to call it, this game will likely determine homefield advantage in the playoffs for the NFC. Just because the Cowboys are in the NFC East and because Green Bay is showing a little more balance, particularly on defense, I'm going to go with the Packers.

Check back Sunday, as our experts give their two cents on this week's remaining games. Till then, we bid you happy Thursday. If you have NFL Network, enjoy the game. If you're like us, then enjoy the box score.
