The annual Sankofa show will be held on Friday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

The Sankofa club prepares for the event all year long. Sankofa means "looking back," and it is held during Black History Month to celebrate black history.

Members of the Sankofa club say that people should be anticipating an amazing show. "I think this year is going to be pretty good because we have worked really hard and we have made some changes to the show," said secretary Patrice Furlow.

Another member of the show is really excited that this year's show will be in February and is excited to showcase what Black History Month is all about. "Unfortunately, last year the show did not land in February, which is Black History Month, but this year we are happy that it will land in February," said junior Aynalem Geremew. "I really like the idea behind Sankofa because of the chance for students to come together and show Blair exactly why we celebrate Black History Month and how there is so much celebrate."
