English teacher reminisces about Blair and hopes for the future

After 21 years of teaching English at Blair, Sarah Porter will retire at the end of this school year.

Besides teaching at Blair, Porter has taught high-school English in Ohio and Pennsylvania and taught at four elementary schools in Montgomery County as well.

Porter has fond memories of Blair. "I will remember Gainous because I believe that he is a strong administrator. I will also remember all of the students that I have taught," she reminisces. In retirement, Porter hopes to experience life on a greater level. "I hope to travel, see more of my grandchildren and read a lot of books," she says.
