Students and faculty delayed by accident

An accident occurred this morning near the intersection of Lanark Way and Colesville Road sometime before 6:35 a.m. involving a small, unloaded school bus and a grey Hyundai, according to Blair security and the Media Services Division of the Montgomery County Police Department.

No students were injured in the collision. However, one person was "pulled from the car," according to Attendance Secretary Roxanne Fus.

Media Services said that an individual was transported to a local hospital.

The administration made two statements around 7:23 and 7:35 a.m. to ask the Blair community to accommodate late students and faculty. The accident blocked traffic going south on Colesville and west on University Boulevard.

Senior Cassandra Straight saw the effects of the collision as her father drove her to school. "The hood was barely hanging on, the top was off, and the back was smashed, too," she said.
