Snow causes minimal damage

The snowstorm last week caused minor damage to the school building, according to Principal Phillip Gainous. The two most noticeable problems were in the weight room and the auditorium.

Leaks in the weight room have been a constant problem during rain and snow showers. According to building service manager James Brown there is a "problem with the drains from the greenhouse above it." Building service has been trying to get the drains to run properly all year.

A small piece of the ceiling in the auditorium collapsed. Brown said that somehow the "beams began to flex" which caused the insulation to fall off. Gainous said that the most likely explanation was "the change in temperature."

The damage has not interfered with the normal school day and did not affect any classes.
