Aaron Klein invites community members to participate

State Delegate candidate and 1994 Blair graduate Democrat Aaron Klein is inviting community members of Maryland District 20 to attend a kickoff of his campaign at Ceviche Restaurant in downtown Silver Spring on Monday, Feb. 27 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Klein, who recently visited Blair, greatly values student participation in politics. "I really believe in student input. I know firsthand what a difference the engagement and involvement of students can produce," he said.

A few Blair students are already working on Klein's campaign, and he hopes that that number will grow. Klein says that since he got his start in politics as a student at Blair, he is eager for students to play a part in his bid for state delegate. "I hope my campaign can provide that engagement for all students in our community, especially Blair, my alma mater," Klein said in an interview with Silver Chips Online.

In addition to community members and Klein, U.S. Senator Paul Sarbanes (D-MD) and local officials will be in attendance at the campaign kickoff celebration, according to an e-mail publicizing the event.

The event will be free of charge to attendees.

To attend the event, RSVP to event@kleinformaryland.com or call (301) 204-6937.
