Student questions Chips policy

Although I enjoy Silver Chips, there's one huge flaw that I don't think can be overlooked: Magnet [and] CAP students aren't fully represented in Blair's newspaper.

There are around 75 CAP students in each grade and roughly 100 Magnet students. That's 700 students, nearly 22 percent of Blair's population. Yes, we are a minority, but we're a pretty big minority that's being excluded.

What reasons would Silver Chips have for not allowing us to voice our opinions? I'm sure there are CAP and Magnet students who work [on the paper], and it's a slap in the face and a kick in the pants to thank them for their work, print it and then exclude all of us CAP and Magnet kids from having our say.

The only reasoning I can come up with is that those who run Silver Chips have decided that some CAP and Magnet kids wouldn't normally go to Blair if they weren't in the programs and shouldn't have a say in what goes on.
