Morning announcements threaten students with police

Students in Blair not involved in an after-school activity will be reported to the police according to an announcement this morning.

"If it's late enough in the day and there are kids who are obviously not involved in an activity, yes we will call the police," said Attendance Secretary Roxanne Fus. "I don't think the [announcement] was an idle threat."

One reason for the change in policy is accountability. "All we need is someone falling down the stairs and Blair's liable for it," said Fus.

In addition, students loitering in the halls interferes with building services' duties according to Fus.
