Clubs: Stage Crew

Time: 3 p.m. daily during production
Place: Auditorium
Sponsor: John Kaluta
President: Giulian Garruba
Stage Crew is the backbone of every Blair theater production. Though unseen, members work on all aspects of the set design, construction, lighting and sound allowing them to be a part of the production. "We are responsible for all the behind the scenes work involved in the production," says junior President Giulian Garruba. Members also work on various skills, such as set design, carpentry, lighting, sound, painting, props and publicity.

The club holds daily meetings in the auditorium during production seasons (Sept. through Nov. and Jan. through March). "We work between two and six hours a day, depending on whether we are on or behind schedule," Garruba says.

Stage Crew is not restrictive in size; new members are always welcome. "Anyone can join, and we encourage new members to come anytime," Garruba says. Students can earn up to 60 community service hours each production season.

"I think that Stage Crew is a great experience for students," sponsor John Kaluta says. "All they need is a little bit of enthusiasm and a willingness to cooperate to join."

If interested in joining Stage Crew, please contact John Kaluta or Giulian Garruba.
