Volunteering for Summer Reading Program at Silver Spring Library

Volunteers will be helping out with the Silver Spring Library's Summer Reading Program, working with children in the reading program and helping librarians. Volunteers will be required to sign children up, cut out name tags, assist with artwork and enter information in the computer. To apply, students can submit an application in the springtime and the library will hold interviews after reviewing the applications. Applicants are encouraged to mention any special skills that could come in handy such as any artistic talents or skill with computers. Once chosen, volunteers will be required to go though a training session.
