Chinese American Parents and Students Association (CAPSA)

CAPSA is a tutoring organization for Chinese immigrants. Tutors are each assigned one "tutee" to teach for an entire year. Tutees mostly require help in homework and English oral, reading and writing skills.

Hours:
9:50 a.m. 12 p.m. on Saturdays during the school year

Qualifications:
Students must be able to speak Mandarin, though knowing additional dialects are a plus. A GPA of 3.2 and B average in English are also required. All high school students can tutor middle school students or younger, but only juniors and seniors are allowed to tutor high school students.
