Blair's spring sports teams excel in record-breaking postseason

Blair had a postseason for the ages this spring, with historic success across several of the nine spring sports.

Blair boys lacrosse crushes Magruder

The Montgomery Blair Blazers (5-4) earned a huge win against the Magruder Colonels (4-7) at home on Wednesday night. The Blazers played well from the start, putting pressure on the Magruder defense and capitalizing on turnovers. Magruder kept the game close and competitive in the first half, but Blair’s offense was relentless in the second half, winning countless faceoffs, dominating possession and getting shots at every opportunity to win an important game.

Boys' lacrosse falls to Wootton

On a windy afternoon, the Wootton Patriots (4-2) defeated the Blazers (0-5) 17-0. Despite the Blazers' best efforts, the Patriots' offense was unstoppable.

Boys Lacrosse succumbs to Blake

On an overcast Saturday afternoon, the boys' lacrosse team (5-4) took on the Blake Bengals at home. The Blazers fought hard, staying with the Bengals for the entire first half. However, final score was 10-4 in favor of the Bengals.

Boys' lacrosse falls to the Cougars

On a crisp Wednesday evening, Blair's boys' lacrosse team (1-1) fell to the Quince Orchard Cougars (2-0) at home by a score of 16-4.

Boys' lacrosse dominates Paint Branch

In their sixth game of the season, the Blair boys' lacrosse team (3-3) dominated Paint Branch (2-4), taking and holding on to an early lead for a final score of 15-5. The young Blair team has continued to refine their communication and offensive skills, playing a strong all-around game that served as a sign for a good finish to the season.

Constant pressure leads to Blair victory over Gaithersburg

The Blair boys’ lacrosse team (1-2) dominated the game and pulled out a victory over the Gaithersburg Trojans (0-3) in the third game of the season with a score of 6-1.

Blazers triumph over Titans

The energy level was high as a sizable number of students, teachers and parents came out to support the varsity boys' lacrosse (5-6) senior night game against the Einstein Titans (7-4). The Blazers came out on top, defeating the Titans, 7-6.

Boys' varsity lacrosse punishes Cavaliers

The boys’ varsity lacrosse team (4-4) team defeated the Kennedy Cavaliers (1-7) 16-4 on Tuesday night. The game was a breeze for the Blazers, as they ran circles around Kennedy and only gave up a few goals early in the game.

Boys' lacrosse blows by Bengals

The boys' varsity lacrosse team (3-2) beat the Blake Bengals by a score of 8-4 in their fifth game of the season. Despite some setbacks in focus, the Blazers were able to power their way through Blake’s scrappy defense and hold off their offense in the third and fourth quarters.
