Blair seniors assaulted

by Cori Cohen, Page Editor
Two Blair seniors were approached in the student parking lot by an unknown male who got into their car around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. The two girls were walking to their car when three males in a black car pulled up and started making sexual comments.

The Blair students were about to leave when one of the men started walking towards the car. He opened the back door and climbed into the car. One girl remembers how surprised they were when the male "just let himself in." The girls argued with him to get out of the car but he refused and started touching the back of the girl in the passenger seat. "He said he wouldn't get out until he wanted to," she said. The girls also threatened to tell security, but the male seemed unfazed by this.

According to one girl they argued "for about two minutes," until the assailant finally left the car. The next morning, the girls informed
security, who would not comment on this story. They were able to watch a security tape replay the events.

The two girls did not recognize their assailants and do not believe they attend Blair.

These girls could have identified these men. They say that they argued for about 2 mins, but couldn't give a description!!!Instead of arguing they should have ran for their lives and went to the police after that man got in and started touching them. One thing is for sure your life is far more important than a car!!!!

Is "assaulted" really the right word for the headline? Makes it sound a lot worse than it is... also, is their class really important enough to make the headline?

Neverthless, good job staying on top of the news. :)

I understand that school security has areas of responsibility, but it is my feeling that they are not appropriately placed. Though there is a guard at the main office side bus entrance, there is no one covering the opposite side. There should have been some type of supervison of the parking lot, beyond that of the security camera.
