Yearbooks arrive, staff prepares for distribution

by Varun Gulati, Page Editor
The yearbooks for the 2004-2005 school year arrived at Blair today, May 10. Distribution will start next week.

Seniors who ordered yearbooks will be called to the auditorium during sixth period on May 18 to collect their yearbook. Underclassmen and juniors have from May 19 until the end of the year to get yearbooks, during fifth period or after school, from the concession stand across the main office. Students may order yearbooks by bringing $55 to room 146 or the table across the school store, according to yearbook editor Hannah Fegley.

The yearbook is full color and 328 pages long. The theme is "dreams." Special features include a teacher superlatives section, an extended senior section and 12 autograph pages. To add to its appeal, the pages are not designed in a block fashion but are more artistic, said Fegley. "This year's yearbook is a bit more magazine style."

Before people start wondering why we are waiting until next week to distribute yearbooks....
Because signing yearbooks can be a distraction during class, the administration must approve the yearbook distribution date. The 18th was the best date available in the auditorium that the administration agreed on for Yearbook distribution to Seniors. For those Seniors with half days, you can pick your yearbook up on May 19th during 5A or 5B lunch at the concession stand across the main office (where you get your ID).
    See you guys there!

Props to the yearbook staff for making it possible for the senior class to get yearbooks before the very end of May, as had apparently been the case in years prior.

if i never got around to ordering a yearbook, are there additional senior edition yearbooks to be purchased?
  • Varun Gulati (View Email) on May 12, 2005 at 11:20 PM
There are no "senior edition yearbooks" - everyone who orders a yearbook receives the same kind. If you have not ordered one yet, you may purchase a yearbook for $55 from the table across the school store or room 146. Thanks for reading Silver Chips Online.

If we have a halfday and want our yearbook early, can we have a close friend pick up the yearbook for us? Like I could give them my ID or signature or something as proof.
  • question on May 17, 2005 at 3:45 PM
do we need some sort of verification that we bought a yearbook when we pick them up?
